Stacey Dooley has revealed she "cried and cried" after her partner Kevin Clifton split her breast milk.

The documentary maker, 36, confessed lack of sleep and hormones have been causing havoc in her household. She welcomed her first child Minnie in January with her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin, 40.

Stacey and Kevin have been focusing on parenthood but have felt a strain at times. "You think you've got the hang of things. And you think I’ve have had a couple of hours sleep, I'm feeling great.

"And then you'll take a ready meal out the oven and it'll fall on the floor and you'll just burst into tears," she confessed.

She explained on her Sleeps Over episode how she had produced 80 millilitres of milk for baby Minnie and asked Kevin to pour it into the baby bottle - however, it ended up on the floor.

"I heard what had gone on and I went, 'Ok. don't kick off, it wasn't deliberate.' And I just brought myself upstairs, got into bed and cried and cried and cried and cried," she said.

"The pillow was wet. Because everything feels so massive. You know everything, your hormones are all over the shop. And I thought that's probably a slight overreaction."

The TV presenter has recently opened up on feelings of "failing" as a mother but her hopes of having more children. Former Strictly star Kevin said she's too "over-tired" to think about expanding their little family.

"I think I would love to have more babies. But I said to Kev the other day, 'Don’t you want to do this again?' And he went, 'Are you nuts? You’re over-tired!" she explained.

Speaking to The Sun, she added: "I don’t know how people have four children. I’ve had one and am completely failing." Kevin announced he was taking a break from work to focus on fatherhood.

After months on non-stop touring, the new dad said he wants to spend the rest of the year being a dad and has stepped back from performing, saying he doesn't want to 'miss any of Minnie'.

Kevin met documentary presenter Stacey on the BBC show as they won the 2018 series. The dancer was married three times before he met Stacey, and the couple welcomed their first baby in January.

When the two welcomed Minnie, they took to social media to announce the happy news. The presenter shared a sweet photo of an envelope revealing her daughter's Disney-inspired name.

Captioning the photo, Stacey wrote: "Our Daughter is here. My little masterpiece! I'm COMPLETELY OBSESSED. Love you Minnie, Love you Kev x."

Kevin also announced the happy news with the envelope, writing: "Our daughter is here. The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. So proud of u @sjdooley. Love u Minnie , Love u Stace x."
