Love Island fans don’t have much longer to enjoy the current tenth season of the show – as the grand finale is now just days away.

The clock is officially ticking down to the end of the current season, with show favourites including Molly Marsh, Mitch Taylor and Scott van-der-Sluis still in the running to be crowned winners.

Contestants on the ITV2 show have been lapping up the sunshine in the villa for the past eight weeks, but now there is just one week left before they will have to pack up their bags and return to unseasonably chilly Britain after a summer of love.

It has been confirmed that the final will be held next Monday July 31, after weeks of snogging, hugging and romantic moments.

Show host Maya Jama will be jetting to Majorca next Monday to host the final episode of the season which will see the public vote for their favourite couple.

And the last episode will begin airing at 9pm with one couple set to win the £50,000 cash prize – which traditionally the winning contestants can share or keep all to themselves when handed an envelope each with one containing the money and the other being empty, before the twist was removed last year.

Currently the remaining contestants are Abi Moores and Scott van der Sluis, Ella Barnes and Mitchel Taylor, Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde, Jess Harding and Sammy, Molly Marsh and Zach Noble, and Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki.

However, there could yet be shock dumpings and dramatic splits ahead of the live final as Love Island fans will no doubt be aware that a lot can change in the space of a week.

Which couple will be crowned the winner will be up to viewers as a public vote will be cast ahead of the final.

Season eight contestant Tasha Ghouri thinks there is only one couple that is going to make it all the way this year.

She told OK! Magazine: "I think there's one only couple, Ty and Ella, who really stand out and they've had that storyline from the beginning.

"If Ty and Ella win, it would be amazing because they have a great love story."

And yet, Tasha also predicts that Ty and Ella could split up once they are living back in the real world outside the villa.

She therefore has her money on a different couple making it for the long run.

She predicts: "I think I have to say Whitney is my favourite, I really like her and Lochan as a couple. Even though they're new they have a great vibe together.

"In the villa you're in a bubble so you really need to learn how to communicate and be there for each other, especially when you come out.

"I'd love for them to last for so long because they're great together and I can really see the potential. Whitney has killed it this year, she's got the best personality and one-liners. I wish she was in my season."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and via ITVX week nights at 9pm.
