There's nothing quite like going on holiday with your little one, noticing all their little adorable milestones when you're in a sunnier climate - or even if you're taking a staycation. And one thing many children adore is going swimming regularly when you're away, as it's something they don't get to do every day when you're back at home.

Of course, we all know that children need a watchful eye when they're poolside, as accidents can happen all too easily - but one mum has shared just how dangerous the water can be for little ones, sharing that sometimes, if a child drowns, they won't make a sound.

Mum Sierra Winter took to her TikTok account to share a video of her daughter - which at first glance, seems adorable - but becomes a lot more sinister as you continue to watch it.

She captioned the seven-second clip: "I was holding her the whole time before you @ me. She's also been swim training since birth."

Sierra wrote a warning over the video of her daughter, and it said: "Drownings are silent and can happen in a split second." The cute clip showed her daughter sitting poolside, putting her tiny hand into the pool to make splashes. The next second though, she'd moved her whole body and had fallen in the water, with her mum grabbing her, writing over the top of the video: "She didn't even make a noise."

Sierra then grabs her daughter and pulls her out of the pool. She wanted to raise awareness that children drowning is often silent, so if you don't keep your eyes on them at all times, it can be really dangerous.

In the comments, other parents praised the mum for raising awareness of the issue, with one commenting: "More people need to see this! This is the best example of how quiet drowning can be!"

Another said: "One of my worst fears. Kudos to you for acting quick", and Sierra wrote: "They don't even make a sound and so so quick. Cannot take your eyes off them for a second."
