Inside Selena Gomez's birthday with star-studded party and lavish cake
Selena Gomez celebrated her birthday in style this week, as the festivities included a party where she was joined by some of her pals to mark the special occasion.
The actor, 31, took to Instagram earlier to showcase photos from the recent gathering for her birthday yesterday, as she simply wrote her new age as the caption.
She was seen wearing a dazzling red dress along with a pair of black stilettos. She accessorised her look with some earrings and was seen wearing a black jacket in some of the photos.
The party – which included a DJ – saw Selena presented with an extravagant white birthday cake that had been adorned with edible roses and featured sparklers on top.

Christina Aguilera was also in attendance at the party this weekend, with other notable guests understood to have included music producers Benny Blanco and Diplo.
Footage shared by one of Selena's pals on social media showed guests serenading the singer-songwriter as she was presented with the cake among a crowd at the gathering.
The party wasn't the only festivities she enjoyed recently, as Selena also teased on her Instagram Story that she'd been to a screening of the Barbie movie with some of her pals.
She shared photos from inside a screening room, including seemingly showing that one of her pals having opted to wear a head-to-toe pink ensemble for the occasion.
The group appeared to later have a meal together after the film, with the Only Murders in the Building star sharing a photo of her pals – all dressed in pink – sat along a table.
She also shared a photo of herself seemingly at the same table, with her appearing to have worn a pink dress for the occasion. The birthday girl was seen holding a martini glass in her hand.
Selena had previously shared that she had asked people to donate to her Rare Impact Fund – which aims to raise awareness and increase access to mental health services for young people – instead of getting her a gift this year.
