'Nightmare neighbour mows lawn three times a day - it's driving me crazy'
A man has reached his wits' end with his neighbour who mows his lawn three times a day with a heavy-duty grass cutter. He explained how the constant noise is driving him 'crazy' - but there's 'nothing' he can do to stop him because there are 'no rules on how often you can mow'.
Taking to Reddit, he said: " Our neighbour mows the same spot on his lawn every day, two to three times a day. It's been raining all week and he still mows. He's using a McClane mower which I've looked up. First, it's super loud so it sounds more like heavy machinery than a lawn mower. Second, this is for golf courses. I've seen him chip one ball on this thing so I'm not sure if this is his end goal. I'm not kidding, three times a day."
While most users urged him to speak to his neighbour, others claim it could be a compulsion that he can't stop or doesn't realise he's doing. Commenting on his post one user said: "Probably like my neighbour that was mowing three times a day a tiny little two foot strip of grass - it was her OCD. And her extreme narcissism and inability to take responsibility for anything whatsoever that affects other people."

Ask him if you think he might be up for a conversation about it. I do hate loud mowers. My neighbour where I used to live used a service and their zero turn sounded like a combine equipped with chainsaws."
A third user said: "My older nosey neighbour does the same. I think he's just bored, bless his heart. Mows every day. Comes and cuts and trims stuff in my yard without permission, goes thru my recycling and got p***ed at me when I asked him politely to stop. He quit for awhile now he's back doing stuff again."
'My selfish neighbour stole our parking spot - my revenge means he'll regret it'
One more user added: "Likely driven by an anxiety disorder, most likely OCD. I would hazard a guess that he has developed some ritual behaviours around it to manage anxious thought and worry and/or unhealthy beliefs that mowing that spot may prevent something bad happening. Be kind to him."
But in response, the man added: "I know a few people mentioned OCD but I think it’s important to note that the rest of his yard is a mess. He leaves tools, bottles, garbage bins, boxes, etc. all around his yard, deck, and front porch. It’s not like he’s super meticulous about the whole yard."
