EastEnders airs double exit as Sharon betrays Keanu ahead of death twist
EastEnders aired the exit of two characters on Thursday night, while a third character committed a huge betrayal. After a tense week in Walford, Keanu Taylor thought he was finally getting somewhere with trying to get access to daughter Peggy.
Little Peggy has been living with her mother Louise Mitchell and grandmother Lisa Fowler in Portugal since 2020, moving there shortly after she was born.
Louise had split with Keanu after he cheated on her with Sharon, and she teamed up with her brother Ben Mitchell and dad Phil Mitchell to have him killed - soon fleeing to Portugal to avoid being caught. Of course it turned out Keanu wasn't dead, and after a brief comeback in 2020 he returned for good in 2022.
Last week Lisa made a surprise return to Walford with Peggy and Keanu finally got to spend time with his daughter. But his hopes for access were short-lived when Lisa told him he could speak to her over video calls for the time being.

He was prepared to take things further to ensure Lisa would not be allowed to take Peggy back to Portugal.

What he didn't know though was that Sharon was helping Lisa with the aid of Martin Fowler. Lisa said Peggy needed to be back with her mum, and they'd never been apart for this long before.
Lisa urged Sharon to hand over the missing passports and let her leave, for Peggy's sake. It seems she agreed, as Lisa was shown climbing into a cab with Peggy and fleeing Walford.
Keanu screamed at her to wait but it was too late. As Keanu sobbed, Sharon confessed to Martin that they had done the right thing, with Martin making it clear that they both were involved. Sharon claimed it was the best thing for him and Peggy, but he could never find out the truth that she was the reason his daughter left.

Sharon featured in a special flashforward scene earlier this year which offered a glimpse of Christmas Day 2023 in Walford - and it ends badly for more than one character.
A mystery male character will be killed off in the scenes, with Keanu one person tipped to be the body. Six women are stood close to a dead body, with him declared dead at the scene of the crime.
Sharon is one of the women, alongside Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Denise Fox and Linda Carter. Another huge clue is that in the clip, Sharon was wearing a wedding dress - suggesting she will marry someone on this day.
It could be Keanu who is her groom given they recently got engaged, while the pub is also decorated for a wedding reception. Could events between now and Christmas see Keanu at risk of being killed off?
