Alleged serial killer arrested after bodies of three women found in same area
A suspected murderer has been taken into custody after the discovery of three women's bodies in the same area within a span of three months, sparking fears of a serial killer in Texas.
Oscar Sanchez Garcia, 25, was arrested by the Dallas Police Department and authorities are investigating whether the killings are the work of a serial killer.
The grim sequence of events began on April 22 when the lifeless body of Kimberly Robinson, 60, was found in a grassy area beneath a train bridge in Oak Cliff near the Trinity Rivet, Dallas.
The police have not yet disclosed the specific cause of her death. However, it was noted that Kimberly, like the other victims, had ties to sex work, raising concerns about their vulnerability.

The similarities in the cases intensified fears of a serial killer at large in the area.

Less than a month later, on July 15, the body of a third woman was found about a mile away from the previous two victims' locations. Authorities are currently working to identify her, and while the specific cause of her death has not been officially released, it is suspected to be in line with the previous two murders.
After an investigation, police arrested Oscar Sanchez Garcia in connection with the three homicides. Garcia is now facing three counts of murder, according to a statement released by law enforcement.
Kimberly's body was found on April 22 along the 200 block of Sante Fe Avenue, in a grassy area under a DART train bridge. (fox4)The police have not yet divulged what led them to suspect Garcia or if there were any links between him and the victims. They only said in a statement released yesterday (July 19): "The preliminary investigation identified Sanchez Garcia as the suspect through evidence gathered by detectives. He will be charged with three counts of Murder."
The Dallas Police Department is expected to provide further updates and details in due course.

It comes as the US has seen the unveiling of another alleged serial killer - who is also accused or murdering women who had ties to sex work.

Police searching his home, which he shared with his wife, in recent days have been seen taking out boxes of material, including more than 200 firearms, a filing cabinet and a computer, as well as a large doll in a glass case and other household items.
