'Jealous' man, 84, learned wife had affair with best pal before 'murder-suicide'
A "jealous" elderly man shot his wife dead in a suspected murder-suicide because she was having an affair with one of his best friends, it has been claimed.
The bodies of Rose and Robert Jobson were found last Friday in a remote part of the shooting range they ran together at their home in Thornton Curtis, Lincolnshire.
It's thought Jobson, 84, gunned down Rose, 69, before turning the gun on himself - having moved out of the marital home on learning about the romance.
The couple are understood to have known Rose's alleged boyfriend for at least 35 years, having met him at their White Lodge Shooting School in the 90s. Pals reportedly claim the lovers holidayed together in Tenerife weeks before her death.

Jobson is said to have been living in nearby East Halton since the beginning of the summer and reportedly told a friend he felt "stabbed in the back" by the affair.
A friend told MailOnline: "I think Robert felt cheated that ****** had started seeing Rose because they'd been friends for a long time. They were really close.
"Robert actually taught ****** to shoot and when Robert suffered some ill health a few years ago, ****** was one of those who rallied round and helped him.

They've known each other for years. ****** would go with his then-wife. When Rose and Robert's marriage fell apart, she and ****** became closer. They went on holiday together to Tenerife a few weeks ago."
They added that Rose had told people she was going with friends but that when she got back she admitted who she'd actually gone with and that they were an item. Jobson was said to be "very jealous and took it very badly", but added there's "no excuse for what Robert did".
Jobson is understood to have had all of his firearms confiscated after being banned from the marital home due to "threatening behaviour" towards his estranged wife. He also allegedly had a history of domestic abuse.
The case has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), with investigations continuing into how he had got hold of a shotgun.
Police say they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths (GrimsbyLive/MEN MEDIA)Senior investigating officer Chief Inspector Al Curtis, from the Major Crime Team said: "Both Robert and Rose's families continue to be supported by specially trained officers as they come to terms with their loss. My thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.
"Understandably, a tragic incident like this will cause shock amongst the community, and my officers continue to support local residents by conducting house to house visits to offer reassurance and engage with the community as they come to terms with what has happened.
"We can confirm we are not looking for anyone else in relation to their deaths. If anyone has any concerns, please speak to our officers."
