Ariana Grande's 'awkward' statement amid 'split' reveals her true feelings

Ariana Grande gave a "clear indication of her split" from Dalton Gomez after removing her wedding photos from her Instagram account, says a social media expert.

The Thank You, Next singer was rumoured to have separated from her husband of two years after she was spotted without her wedding ring during a Wimbledon outing. She also made the major statement on Instagram by taking down her wedding snaps.

The social media move from Ariana is thought to be a "hint that the relationship has come to an end," but proves that her and Dalton are "still on solid terms".

Social media expert at FizzBox, Tom Bourlet, exclusively told us that celebrities have been known for make similar moves during a huge life event, like a breakup in Ariana's case.

"Sadly, with Ariana Grande's removal of images, this isn't for an album launch or a political stance, but a hint that the relationship has come to an end. Most couples have to go through the awkward moment of changing their couples image to one of themselves on social, as well as changing their relationship status, but it is significantly more noticeable if we had close to the 377 million followers Ariana Grande has on Instagram," he told us.

Tom added that although the move has made the split more obvious, the fact that neither party has reacted with a "spiteful post" speaks volumes.

"While nothing has been directly confirmed in public, it certainly looks like a clear indication, following on from the removal of the wedding ring at Wimbledon. They're supposedly still very close, hence why you may not see something done out of spite or a reactive post at all, it looks like they want to end it on solid terms," he said.

Although the split is yet to be confirmed, sources told TMZ that Dalton has been "dating over the last few months," adding that Ariana has reportedly been "fine" with it. The insider added that the pair are "shocked" that people have only now caught on to the couple's separation.

"By January, they were separated, but still on friendly terms," TMZ reported. "They began living separate lives until May, when they decided to take a shot at it again. That lasted 2 weeks before they both threw in the towel."
