Ariana Grande is "caught in the excitement of love" and "craves the security and comfort" of being in a relationship says a relationship expert.

The singer was recently branded a "serial monogamist" by fans after her hasty marriage to real estate agent Dalton Gomez was rumoured to have come to an end after just two years together.

The pair tied the knot in an intimate and private ceremony in 2021, after less than a year of dating. At the time, fans were quick to comment on Ariana's "serial monogamy," with one writing: "No shade but Ariana grande is a serial monogamist imma need a little time for this new one."

A second chimed in: "She's truly a serial monogamist but I hope this time she can take some time to be single and heal, I don't think she properly did that after everything in 2017/2018."

"How does Ariana Grande jump from relationship to relationship like this??? I’m genuinely confused," a third quipped.

On her 2019 single Thank You, Next, Ariana embraced and even celebrated her serial monogamy, singing about her former partners in catchy lyrics: "Thought I'd end up with Sean / But he wasn't a match / Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh / Even almost got married / And for Pete, I'm so thankful / Wish I could say "thank you" to Malcolm / 'Cause he was an angel.”

Relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd, Louella Alderson, shared her insight on Ariana’s rumoured divorce and whether the singer is truly a serial monogamist, as her fans claim.

“One of the most common reasons for jumping from one relationship to another is that they are afraid of being alone and crave the security and comfort of having someone in their lives. When they're alone, they might feel insecure or inadequate, so they search for someone to fill that void.

"They may feel incomplete or anxious when not in a relationship, driving them to find a new partner as soon as possible after a breakup," Louella added.

“We have seen Ariana Grande jump into several high-profile relationships over the years, and it seems like she hasn't spent much time single. It's hard to know the reason why, but she's has always been open about her feelings on relationships. She seems to get caught up in the excitement of new love — she quickly got engaged to Pete Davidson after a whirlwind romance, only for it to end four months later.

"But If your job and daily life revolve around music that's often related to romance, it will likely impact your desire to find the perfect love story," Louella concluded.
