Nate Diaz has laughed off the suggestion he will take a dive against Jake Paul in their boxing fight.

The UFC legend makes his ring debut against YouTube star Paul on August 5 after parting ways with the UFC last September. Fans have begun to fear the worst for Diaz after leaked sparring footage from his training camp, with the 38-year-old also being forced to deny that he is suffering from brain damage ahead of the fight.

Diaz has grown sick of people asking him if he will go down on purpose against Paul as he told Bradley Martyn's Raw Talk podcast: "They're like, 'Tell me you're not going to take a fall against Paul'. Everybody says that to me. I'm like are you kidding me? You couldn't pay me all the money in the world to fall on anybody ever, like what the f*** is that?"

Diaz also denied to hearing about any conversations about the fight being fixed and said if there was, he would have let people know about it. "No, if there was, I wish there was, I would tell on him. I ain't no snitch bro but I would tell on that b**** a**," he added.

Paul is competing in his eighth professional bout since ditching his internet fame for a career in the ring. 'The Problem Child' was beaten for the first time earlier this year at the hands of Love Island star Tommy Fury as he looks to rebound with a win against Diaz, who hasn't fought since tapping out Tony Ferguson last September.

Diaz credited Paul for his dedication to boxing and said he sees signs of his former self in the YouTuber, stating: "I can see his passion in fighting and for boxing, just the way he trains and talks about training. I know from people who have started training with him, when they start training a little bit it consumes over their whole life. Just like it did with me when I started, so I can see that with him.

"That's a guy you've got to worry about. No matter how they go about it, you can see the passion for it. I've had that same passion the whole time and I'm still going, I still believe that I'm here to make history too. It keeps on going past what other people have done. Until the end of time, this is just a piece of pie and that's how we do it."
