Man Utd ready to change Dean Henderson plans following private transfer talks
Dean Henderson is set to join Manchester United on their pre-season tour of the United States after Nottingham Forest attempted to negotiate another loan deal for the goalkeeper.
Henderson, 26, spent last season on loan at The City Ground after leaving United to play regular first-team football and has been heavily linked with a return to Forest in recent weeks.
It was anticipated that Henderson would be on the move sooner rather than later - even after the club U-turned on an agreement with David de Gea, who has since left Old Trafford as a free agent. However, Henderson could now be left in limbo following talks between his parent club and Nottingham Forest.
The Manchester Evening News has outlined that Forest approached United over a deal that would see Henderson move on loan with an obligation to make the deal permanent if he made a certain number of appearances next season. But United are not interested in facilitating another loan move for Henderson, who now looks certain to jet out to the States with Erik ten Hag's squad on Wednesday.
While Henderson could head out to America initially, Nottingham Forest are expected to intensify their efforts to strike a deal with United in a bid to secure Henderson's services on a permanent basis. Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis personally assured Henderson that he would seek to sign him in a £30million deal once the club's Premier League status had been secured.

Manchester United are happy to move Henderson on but are looking to bank a substantial fee for his services after agreeing a deal worth £43million with Inter Milan for Andre Onana, who is set to become the club's new No.1 goalkeeper following De Gea's exit.

The 20-year-old Denmark international has emerged as Manchester United's top choice but a deal will not come cheap, with the Italian outfit expected to demand a significant sum for their star striker.
Given that Ten Hag is operating with a limited transfer budget this summer, United will be looking to raise vital funds through player sales to aid their pursuit of Hojlund.
Securing a substantial fee for Henderson would go some way to making that feasible, but other deals are also in the pipeline. Left-back Alex Telles, who spent last season away from the club on loan, is nearing a move to Al-Nassr while the club are also believed to be open to offers for the likes of Fred, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial.
