Arsenal and Adidas have released a striking new away shirt for the upcoming Premier League season.

The Gunners, who are currently on their pre-season tour of the USA, released the distinct kit on Tuesday that claims to honour the borough of Islington. The design features fluid black lines that are said to be inspired by the map of Islington which represent the journeys that fans make out of the club’s home borough for away days on the road.

The kit comes with a shock-yellow base that is complemented by light blue accents that feature on the collars and sleeves. The on-field version of the shirt is constructed with Addias' famed HEAT.RDY technology and is optimized to keep players feeling comfortable. The replica version of the kit features the AEROREADY technology, which uses sweat wicking or absorbent materials to keep players feeling dry.

The new Arsenal away shirt is now available and speaking about the new shirt, Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli, said: “I love it! It’s a fresh look and it really brings to life the style of Arsenal.

"Our supporters are incredible and it’s great that adidas and the club have created this design to celebrate them and our roots in north London. I can’t wait to get back on the pitch in our new away shirt.”

Mikel Arteta will be looking to get his side into shape on the club's current tour of the US following the disappointment of missing out on the title last season with games against Manchester United and the MLS All Stars lined up. Arsenal will debut the kit in the game with the All Stars on Thursday (July 19) and you can get it here.
