Richard Madeley shut down over crude remark as he muses wife's 'AI affair'
Richard Madeley was scolded on Good Morning Britain as he discussed his wife Judy Finnigan having an "affair with AI" with co-host Susanna Reid.
Kicking off the ITV show Tuesday morning, Richard struggled to contain his laughter over one of the day's discussion topics as Susanna introduced the show.
Holding his head in his hands and laughing, he said: "I just find this artificial intelligence thing, every day it brings a new story and now we've got people having affairs with virtual partners, with robots. I don't know what I'd think if I came downstairs at two in the morning to see where Judy had got to and she was sitting at the kitchen table, having an intimate relationship with a robotic bloke."
"I think she'd gone mad," he added as Susanna interjected: "I would probably agree. The thing is there's quite a significant difference between a virtual bloke and a real men so is it really cheating?"

Richard then added: "Is it the same as catching your partner watching pornography?" Shutting down her co-host, Susanna remarked: "It's a little bit early for that!”
Meanwhile, Richard was recently criticised for patronising Chris Packham during an interview with the wildlife expert on Good Morning Britain.
Chris joined GMB to discuss the climate crisis ahead of his BBC documentary on the planet's astounding past and uncertain future.
He told the hosts the world was "sleepwalking towards an apocalypse" before Richard jumped in and questioned whether he had disproved on Just Stop Oil's tactics.
However, Chris hit back and clarified he was "misquoted" but Richard continued to grill the wildlife expert on the environmental group's methods.
Good Morning Britain viewers hit out at the host as one tweeted: "Richard Madeley was highly patronising with his introduction of Chris Packham," while another aded: "Well done Chris for calling out the [publication] on twisting what you said. Madeley can learn a lot from Chris and needs to engage both ears and remember he has only 1 mouth for a reason."
