Inelfa Zanna died after she collided with someone when walking down a road in North London

An elderly woman has tragically died after she collided with a pedestrian when out walking and died from her injuries.

Inelfa Zanna had been walking down a road in Islington, North London when the shocking incident took place on November 29, 2021 - police are now investigating her death.

The pensioner walked into another woman at around 1pm and suffered a number of injuries, according to the Met Police.

She was taken to hospital, but whilst receiving treatment she caught an infection and died on December 23, 2021.

Investigating officers are now appealing for the public's help in identifying a witness who may be able to help detectives.

Met Police say the woman may have witnessed the collision between Inelfa and the pedestrian.

They have released a picture of the woman, dressed in all black, wearing white sunglasses.

Detective Inspector Anna Deighton, from the local policing team in Islington, said: "Inelfa's family need to know the exact circumstances of the incident in which she suffered serious injuries.

"If you are the woman in the picture, or if you know can identify her, please call us on 101 quoting 2501/06Dec."
