A mum suffering from severe mental health issues was arrested after allegedly stabbing three hospital employees while taking her newborn from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Kendra Greene, 31, was stopped by staff at Florida Palms West Hospital after she “violently removed” her 3-day-old daughter from a ventilator around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night, an arrest affidavit claims.

She allegedly removed the infant, who was receiving treatment for under-developed lungs, from her life-supporting devices, including a breathing apparatus, central line from her stomach and a feeding tube, according to court records.

When hospital employees tried to intervene as she tried to leave, Greene, who is a diagnosed schizophrenic and was deteriorating at the time, reportedly stabbed three of them, police claim.

“F–k you, bitch,” she told the first victim.

One victim was slashed on their right forearm, another on their right hand and the third on the side of their neck.

The trio all received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and were discharged the same evening, authorities said.

A local report says a "code pink" announcement was made over the loudspeaker warning officials of a child abduction - prompting workers to stop anyone from leaving.

A worker on duty in the NICU unit told deputies she saw Greene "violently remove the breathing device from the infant's mouth" along with a feeding tube and multiple other life support devices that were keeping the infant alive.

She dropped her daughter off with a family member and left, but was taken into custody after crashing her vehicle - and the newborn was returned to hospital in a stable condition

Greene faces charges include neglect to a child with great bodily harm, two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery, and resisting an officer without violence.

Her first appearance hearing was scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m., and her bond was set at $302,000.
