8-year-old schoolgirl runs for her life after strangers grab her in street
A schoolgirl was chased down the street by a group of strangers after they attempted to grab hold of her.
The eight-year-old was alone and sitting on a pavement in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire at around 8pm when the incident happened on Thursday (July 14).
The youngster was approached by two men and two women in Northern Rise, who initially spoke with her.
However, they then held her before she was able to run away from them to find safety.
Police enquires have since been opened and are ongoing.

The force has reassured residents that they are continuing to patrol the area.
Detectives at Cheshire Police are asking anyone with any information or footage that may help their investigation to come forward, reports Liverpool Echo.
Chief Inspector Paul Fegan said: “We understand this sort of incident causes a lot of concern in the local community.
"I would like to reassure residents that we are working hard to establish exactly what took place and who was responsible.
“We are making a number of enquiries to locate the individuals and are continuing to patrol the area.
"We are also linking in with the local schools to give advice and support where needed.

"The same goes for anyone with any information or dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage that may aid our investigation.”
