Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham team news
Antonio Conte will miss the game to continue his recovery from gallbladder surgery. The Tottenham boss was in dugout for the defeats by Leicester and AC Milan but has since admitted he "underestimated the procedure" and will take some time off.
Conte's assistant, Cristian Stellini, will lead the team again and complete media duties until his boss has made an "entire recovery". Long-term absentees Yves Bissouma (ankle), Hugo Lloris (knee) and Rodrigo Bentancur (knee) will also miss the game.
Everton chiefs face transfer backlash from fans after deadline day disaster
Ryan Sessengon is Tottenham's final absentee due to a hamstring injury. "Ryan, at the moment, is injured, and not available," said Stellini. "He needs some weeks to recover well, It’s a muscle injury, so he needs to rest and work to come back."
West Ham boss David Moyes will also be without a number of players. Lucas Paqueta picked up a shoulder complaint against Chelsea last weekend, while Kurt Zouma (thigh), Alphonse Areola (hamstring) and Maxwel Cornet (undisclosed) are still nursing injuries.
Danny Ings could start against Tottenham after a knee injury, while Gianluca Scamacca could return to the bench after suffering a similar complaint. Nayef Aguerd picked up a groin injury against Chelsea, but Moyes is remaining hopeful.
"Lucas Paqueta is not going to be available for the game," the Irons boss said. "Nayef has got a chance but we’re not sure yet if he is going to make it or not.
"It’s also great that Gianluca is back, but he is nowhere near ready to play, or nowhere near ready to be selected. I might try to involve him but I have to say that it would be minimum minutes because he’s just back with us."
