Airport worker who killed himself by jumping into plane engine named
The family of an airport worker has spoken out after their relative took his own life by jumping in the engine of a plane.
David Renner, 27, died after he was "ingested" into a Delta Air Lines plane at San Antonio International Airport.
Joshua Renner said it was "not the first time" his brother had tried to take his own life, but he had shown no signs of self harm in the month before his death.
The heartbroken younger brother told the Daily Mail: "David had been clean for over eight months, was in therapy, [was] actively taking his prescribed medication and had finally become the David we all knew he could be."
The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office on Monday ruled his death a suicide and an autopsy died from blunt and sharp force injuries. This information was referred to the National Transportation Safety Board(NTSB).

Joshua said his family is now "doing the best they can do right now" and that his parents were making sure David was "taking good care of himself" before he died.
David "loved magic" and "was always trying to perform some little sleight of hand for his friends and family," Joshua recalled.
