William reduced King Charles to tears with off-the-cuff comment about future
The Royal Family has undergone much upheaval in the past year - not least for King Charles and Prince William.
As father and son, they have seen their roles dramatically change with Charles now King following the death of his mother and William stepping up to be Prince of Wales.
With the prince's new role also comes the title of Duke of Cornwall and responsibility for overseeing the vast Duchy of Cornwall estate.
It was previously run by Charles for more than 50 years when he was Prince of Wales and took great interest in its success.
And during an ITV documentary, Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall, viewers saw Charles open up like never before - where he revealed how a comment by his eldest son about the estate reduced him to tears.

William, thinking about the future at the time, said: "I’ve started to think about how I will inherit the Duchy one day and what I do with it.
"I think it’s really important, the family angle, I really do."
Viewers were then shown a clip of Charles, who reflected on the conversation between his son and the farmer.

"I was deeply touched and moved by what he said. Frankly, it reduced me to tears. It did, really.
"Because, I suddenly thought, well, just hearing that from him has made the last 50 years worthwhile."
Yesterday, William celebrated his 41st birthday and the King shared an adorable unseen photo of his eldest child from the Coronation.

William, dressed in a suit, is fastening the Imperial Mantle – or Royal Robe – on his father.

The tweet said: "Wishing The Prince of Wales a very happy birthday today!"
The prince's birthday comes just days after he committed to building social housing on the Duchy of Cornwall's land.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, William revealed his plans for social housing on the 130,000-acre estate he now controls.
The prince also said he wants to make it his mission to end homelessness in the UK. He told the paper he will launch a "really big project" to take on the issue.
However, the details of the five-year project are being kept secret until the end of the month.
