Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe may have information that can help their investigation after a teenager was sexually assaulted on a bus.

The victim - a girl in her teens - was on the bus in Nottingham city centre when she was assaulted by an unknown male.

It's claimed the perpetrator moved her bag and sat in the seat next to her before attacking her then getting off the bus, leaving her "shaken".

After reporting her ordeal to the police, detectives have now issued CCTV of a man they said they would like to speak to over the assault, which unfolded earlier this spring at around midday on April 6.

PC Joseph Blake, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We really want to speak to the man in the image as we believe he may have information that can help our investigation.

“We take all reports of sexual assaults seriously and will investigate every single incident.

“The victim has been left shaken and is being supported by our team.”

Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images has been urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police.
