Denise Welch goes into hiding and on the run for Celebrity Hunted

Hopefully, Taylor Swift ’s private jet is on standby: her potential future mother-in-law Denise Welch has signed up for Celebrity Hunted.

The new series started filming in Norfolk yesterday – so they could all be anywhere by now.

Denise and her husband, artist Lincoln Townley, will compete against stars including Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington in the Channel 4 series in which celebs attempt to go on the run from a team of hunters for 14 days.

Denise, who turned 65 this week, recently announced she would be taking a break from social media for a fortnight, seemingly to film the show.

She said: “I’m going off on a little adventure for a couple of weeks so I’m going to be off here and off my phone. I don’t quite know how I’m going to cope, but I’m going to give it a try, so don’t think I have disappeared.

“It’s just a temporary little holiday and I’ll be back soon.”

It comes a month after singer Taylor was revealed to be dating Denise’s son, Matty Healy, from The 1975.

Matty has performed with Taylor’s opening act, Phoebe Bridgers, during her current US tour.

Denise will probably have a lot of updates on her son’s burgeoning relationship when she gets her phone back in a fortnight.
