Valentine's Day isn't just a way to show love for our partners - we can also show appreciation for our family, friends, and colleagues. There's so much more to Valentine's Day than big romantic gestures, and some teachers will even choose to mark the day with their classes, giving them an age-appropriate summary of the day.

One teacher went above and beyond for the kids in his class though by buying them some heart-shaped sweets and stickers - but before he'd given the children the stickers, he realised that they were outrageously inappropriate for the little ones in his kindergarten class.

American teacher and TikToker 'Mr Fred', who posts under username @themr.fredproject, headed to the social media platform to show the confectionary he'd bought for his class, and the sticker sheet he was planning on handing out to the children.

He said: "Okay so I thought I was being nice and clever by getting these treats - classic gummies, heart suckers (lollipops), these little fizzy pops...

"And then I thought 'oh let's get some stickers' because all kids love stickers. Then I start to read these stickers, and, erm..."

He then read out some of the sayings on the stickers.

"Who needs a Valentine when you have wine!", one boasted, whilst another inappropriately stated: "You're BOOTY-ful."

After reading some more out he said: "Oh my god, my superintendent is going to be calling me."

Then he joked: "Well, these are the lines I use on my Plenty Of Fish", concluding that the stickers were not appropriate for children.

In the comments, people found the near-miss hilarious, with some teachers relating.

One wrote: "I had a student bring those stickers In today! I didn't notice till I came home and opened my own gift...he passed them to the whole class!"

Another said: "At least you caught it before", followed by crying with laughter faces.

"This happened when I bought stickers for my students too! Quickly realised those weren't going in the bag", someone else joked.

"But for real though. Whyyy do they love stickers so much? My kinders will do anything for a sticker", a fellow teacher wrote.
