Britney Spears and her husband Sam Asghari are "on the rocks", according to reports.

The couple have been married since June last year, but were both recently spotted without their wedding rings on, while Britney then jetted off on holiday without Sam.

Instead, the singer was seen enjoying the sun with her long-time friend and manager, Cade Hudson.

A source has now claimed the couple have been getting into "frequent screaming matches" which they say have sometimes gotten physical.

The source also said Sam "doesn't stay at their home much anymore" after security have "had to step in" to break up their "volatile" arguments.

The source told TMZ that it seems Britney and Sam's marriage is in "deep trouble".

However, Britney and Sam seemed to ignore the claims as they took to Instagram to share a loved-up video of themselves enjoying a hike in the sunshine.

Captioning the post, Sam wrote: "Hike with my woman," adding a heart eye emoji.

The publication is set to air a documentary about the Toxic hitmaker on Fox tonight, in which they also claim Britney had a "fascination with knives".

The superstar is said to have had some recommendations made as she moved away from her conservatorship following its end in 2021.

Reports say that as the conservatorship drew to a close, those looking after Britney "prepared a list of recommendations" with one of them being to "keep knives away from her".

According to the publication, Britney viewed knives as a "means of protection".

The outlet added that Britney has a "constant fear of being re-institutionalised" and that the recommendation was "cautionary".

Britney was in a conservatorship for 13 years, which began in 2008 after she suffered mental health troubles.

It saw her father Jamie Spears take control of her personal and financial affairs before the conservatorship ended in 2021.

Britney is set to share her side of the story in a tell-all memoir.

Last year it was claimed she would release the explosive memoir after securing a "record breaking" $15million (£12million) publishing deal after the end of her conservatorship.

Britney's book is set to touch on her marriage to Sam Asghari, as well as many other topics that she wants to set the record straight about.
