Man stabbed to death in Hackney pictured as murder suspect due in court

A man who was stabbed to death in London on Friday has been named as 27-year-old Sebastian Zon.

Police were called to a home at 11.07pm, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Zbigniew Galek, 52, has now been charged with murder and is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court in Bow, east London, on Tuesday.

Mr Zon, who lived in Hackney, was found with a stab wound and was declared dead at the scene.

His loved ones have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, Scotland Yard said.

Three arrests were made at the scene on suspicion of murder.

A 53-year-old woman has been released on bail to a date at the end of this month and a 43-year-old man was released with no further action.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information that could help police is asked to call 101.
