Beyonce's team responds to claims she demanded £500,000 to perform at BRITs

Beyonce fans were devastated when she didn't perform at Saturday night's BRIT Awards, with speculation mounting that she refused to play after being denied a £500,000 fee.

Rumours started swirling that the 41-year-old had asked for several suites at a central London hotel to host her huge crew, extra flights for her team and an eye-watering amount of money to perform.

"She could have gone there," one disappointed fan tweeted, while another wrote: "Imagine she attended the actual event."

However, her publicist Yvette Noel-Schure has shut down the reports, slamming them as "inaccuracies".

One Beyonce fan account took to Twitter to post a picture of an article which shared the rumours.

Yvette replied: "This is a lie. Please do not promote inaccuracies."

Despite not attending the BRITs in person, Beyonce won big on the night and took home two awards.

The singer surprised London's O2 Arena with sweet video messages as she bagged the trophies for Best International Artist and International Song of the Year for Break My Soul.

During her acceptance speech for International Song of the Year, Beyonce said: "Thank you, thank you so much for loving Break My Soul.

"The only intention for this song was to dance, so thank you for joining this dance of freedom and individuality.

Speaking about her Best International Artist win, the Crazy in Love hitmaker said: "Thank you so much for this incredible recognition.

"I'd like to say thank you to all of my friends out there in Britain for your continuous support over the years."

She added: "The Renaissance begins. I'll see y'all on tour. Thank you so much for this honour!"

Beyonce will be heading off on her highly-anticipated Renaissance tour later this year, with the performer playing five London shows.
