There are many unwritten wedding rules guests are expected to follow, such as not turning up late or being on your phone during the ceremony.

Another major one is not to wear white unless explicitly asked to by the couple. This is out of respect for the bride, who will most likely be wearing a fabulous white gown they have been dreaming of their whole life.

However, it seems two guests didn't get the memo, as they rocked up to their friend's big day wearing white dresses – and one looked unmistakably like a wedding gown.

In a post shared on TikTok, guest Isabella Santos Giha filmed the of two guests, who were wearing floor-length white gowns. She also claimed that one of them, an off-the-shoulder gown with lace, was a "legit wedding dress".

Though the bride looked stunning in her ballgown-style dress, Isabella said she ended up being "sad" because the guests had clashed with her on her wedding day.

'I'm spending £20k on a new bathroom - but won't help my brother out with cash''I'm spending £20k on a new bathroom - but won't help my brother out with cash'

Alongside the video, Isabella pleaded: "Please never wear WHITE at someone's wedding. It is sad and disrespect[ful]."

Many commenters were sympathetic with the bride, with many saying the guests should know better than to wear white.

One person said: "Disrespectful.. She looked SO beautiful regardless!"

"Like come on they know!! Everyone knows! If you're not the bride you don't wear white!" said a second.

Some even suggested she should have taken drastic action to teach the guests not to wear white.

Another suggested: "Immediately kicked out," and someone else agreed, saying: "I would kick them out."

A fourth added: "I'd take some wine and have an oops."

Another person said they had experienced something similar at another wedding, explaining: "The last wedding I went to a girl showed up wearing her own wedding dress. I could not believe it."

Someone else added: "My ex mother-in-law wore a white dress to my wedding."

However, someone else said they almost made the same mistake because she didn't know about the unwritten rule.

They commented: "I almost did this once! I had no idea. So thankful someone mentioned it to me before the wedding so I had a chance to switch my dress."
