The Radford family had a real fright after getting a little too close to an alligator on their trip to Florida.

Mum Sue filmed the fearsome creature on the water bank right by where they're staying.

It was the first glimpse of they had of the animal and had no idea they were living so close to it.

The reality TV star, 48, is currently enjoying Disney World with some of her family, amid her daughter Millie Radford accusing her of cashing in and "making money" out of her offspring.

They have been putting the comments to one side to enjoy the rest of their break.

But things almost took a wrong turn when the alligator started to climb up the the grassy verge.

Thankfully it went straight back into the water but there was plenty of time for them to capture the reptile on the prowl.

The family account posted a Story of the close encounter for all their followers to see.

"This gator has literally just been right outside our villa," it was captions with a few croc emojis.

Although it was probably a little scary, Sue maybe could have done with a distraction.

Millie, 22, earlier this week accused her 22 Kids and Counting star parents of making cash out of their grandkids as the cracks began to show in Britain's biggest family.

The health care assistant made a barbed comment towards parents Sue and Noel after they surprised some of the grandkids with an incredible trip to Florida - but not them all.

A video saw the couple tell grandchildren Daisy, Ayprill and Leo that they were taking them on holiday.

Millie is mum to Ophelia and Chester, who weren't involved.

The daughter reposted the video on her Instagram, and wrote: "Cute? But you've made money from all your grandchildren but choose your favourites...Said my piece, I recall my kids being in the whole 22 Kids and counting - not a single sight viewing of the rest in there.. bare 1 ep."

Earlier this month, ahead of filming a fourth series, the couple and their family , who live in Lancaster, issued a statement to fans, thanking them for their support as they take a "well earned break" ahead of the next lot of filming.

"We are currently having a well earned little break from filming before heading into filming series 4 which we are very excited about."

During the most recent series, Noel announced plans to retire from his pie business, with offspring Chloe and Luke both vying to take over.

Sue recently revealed the pressures of running their business in the earlier years and the bankruptcy nearly caused them to divorce.

She said: "You would go to bed thinking about the debt, wake up thinking about the debt, wake up in the night thinking about the debt.

"If anything would have caused us to get a divorce, it was this shop. Looking back now, it was a time where I genuinely thought our marriage would not pull through. We’d get divorced and that would be it. It was absolutely awful."
