Kate Ferdinand has spoken about enjoying her pregnancy and feeling gratitude over it after experiencing loss last year.

The podcast host, 31, announced the pregnancy earlier this year. The news came six months after Kate revealed that she'd had a miscarriage in her previous pregnancy.

The Only Way is Essex alum - who is married to former footballer Rio Ferdinand, 44 - has shared updates from throughout her latest pregnancy since the announcement.

This has included Kate - who shares son Cree, two, with her husband - discussing how she feels in her pregnancy after having experienced a miscarriage just last year.

The reality TV star admitted that she had been "anxious" about being pregnant after a miscarriage, noting that she wasn't in "the best headspace" during the first trimester.

She said scans remain "terrifying" but added: "I'm trying to turn what I've been through into gratitude [though] and actually it's working quite well for me at the moment."

Kate then recalled: "When I was pregnant with Cree, I was more, I didn't want my body to get big, I was like 'oh my god I'm gonna be fat' or 'I'm not doing this ...'."

She continued by saying that she now feels different, saying: "All of a sudden I feel this gratefulness that I'm actually growing a human now and none of that matters."

The podcast host further commented about how she feels following her experience: "It's made me actually be able to, I never thought I'd say this, but enjoy my pregnancy more."

Kate was joined by Zoe Clark-Coates, who has experienced miscarriages herself. She co-founded charity The Mariposa Trust, supporting those affected by the loss of a child.

Addressing Kate's approach, Zoe said: "I think all of us until we go through loss take things for granted. [That's] what loss really does; it puts everything into perspective."
