Fire sees passengers evacuated from London King's Cross rail station
London's key station of King's Cross was briefly closed after reports of a "fire alert."
London Underground operator TfL said in a statement on Twitter: "Station closed while we deal with a fire alert. London Underground tickets are being accepted on London Buses to stations either sides."
They added on their website: "TfL released a statement on their website, which read: "Station closed while we deal with a fire alert. London Underground tickets are being accepted on London Buses to stations either sides."
The organisation issued the alert at 5.52pm this evening, but confirmed it had reopened at 6.13pm.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) was unable to confirm if any of the engines were in attendance.
