Harry and Meghan's coronation accommodation in doubt, says Alison Hammond
Alison Hammond questioned where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could stay if they do attend King Charles’ coronation, amid reports they are being included in preparations.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not yet accepted the invitation for the big event on May 6, but staff responsible for its organisation have been asked to include Harry and Meghan in all arrangements.
Alison Hammond hosted This Morning alongside Dermot O’Leary on Friday to discuss the news item with Carol Vorderman and Nick Ferrari, after the Sussexes confirmed last week that they had been invited to the coronation
Alison asked her fellow presenters: “I was thinking, well, where are they going to stay? Because obviously Frogmore is out of the question, isn’t it?”
Frogmore Cottage, the UK home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has reportedly been offered to Prince Andrew and the California-based couple are said to have been issued with an eviction notice by Buckingham Palace.

Alison Hammond hosted This Morning alongside Dermot O’Leary (ITV)Dermot then joked: “You wouldn't want to be the poor person who’s just moved into Frogmore, would you?”
Radio presenter Nick replied saying the couple ‘need to accept’ the invitation from the Palace.
He added: “Here’s my fervent hope: that this can be the moment they come, they all try to keep fairly low key and it is the start of some kind of rapprochement.
“That is my hope. Whether that is going to happen is another matter, but I think it’s good.
“I think they need to come. I’m sure King Charles wants to see his grandchildren and give the little girl who’s just been christened a hug.”

Around 20 to 30 people were in attendance for the celebration (PA)Princess Lilibet Diana, who was born to Prince Harry and Meghan in June 2021, was christened at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ’s home on Friday.
The couple's spokesperson said members of the Royal Family were invited to the christening, but it appears none were in attendance.
Carol said on This Morning: “I have to admit, I'm not particularly interested in whether they come or not. I think just come over have a nice time, be a family. It’s their father’s biggest day and I hope the sun shines.”
Nick said the couple ‘need to accept’ the invitation (ITV)It was not clear whether the Sussexes would be invited to the coronation after a series of damaging interviews, Harry's bombshell memoir Spare and the couple's controversial Netflix docu-series Harry and Meghan.
A spokesman for the Sussexes revealed last week: “I can confirm the duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the Coronation.”

But they added: “An immediate decision on whether the duke and duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.”
