Planning a wedding can take a lot of work which is why it tends to take a fair amount of time for everything to come together. But when you have your heart fixed on a date, it can be a huge pain to get it rearranged. Unfortunately, one woman had this very problem after facing huge backlash from her family for planning her wedding the same day as her nephew's third birthday.

The woman explained that they ended up having to rearrange the date of their big day, so as not to upset her parents - but it wasn't that straightforward.

Taking to Reddi t, the woman, who remained anonymous, said: "My wedding is scheduled for next year in June. I sent everyone a link regarding my wedding info and such with dates, what to wear, etc.

"We made it so far away just in case anything happens. I got a call from my father saying that I need to change the date because my sister in law told him that it's my nephews bday that day."

She explained that the date they had was important to them both and they had not considered that it was the tot's birthday.

The woman went onto say that they have been to a lot of the family drama over the years, leaving some of them estranged.

But, in order to appease the family and stop their parents from growing more and more angry, the happy couple decided to change the date of their wedding.

However, they opted to make it a childfree affair and decided to stop the sister-in-law from attending the wedding too.

"We caved and moved the date… However, we are strictly enforcing the no kid rule and he is no longer allowed. My sister-in-law has been notified and been told she is not welcome either," she explained.

In response, many have supported the author of the post and said the family have acted unreasonably in this situation.

One person wrote: "If my brother planned his wedding on my kid's 3rd birthday, I'd be like ok I guess we celebrate it a couple days early."

While another stated: "You deserve a date that means something to you. The nephew and sister-in-law aren't even invited so it doesn't matter."
