Chilling Apollo 12 audio captures astronauts describing unexplained lights in the dark
Chilling audio has revealed Apollo 12 astronauts saw mysterious “streaks of light” while trying to sleep in space, according to a new UFO file dump ordered by President Trump.
The recording captures the crew describing bizarre flashes in the dark during a 1969 post-mission medical debrief.
Astronauts Pete Conrad, Richard Gordon, and Alan Bean each reported the strange experience after returning from the Apollo 12 mission.
“The astronauts each reported that these experiences occurred in the dark as they tried to sleep,” a description on the Defense Department’s UFO site states.
NASA later determined the flashes were caused by internal effects in the astronauts’ own vision rather than external light sources.
The second batch of UFO files was released Friday as part of Trump’s push to unseal government records on unidentified anomalous phenomena.
The Trump administration posted the files on Friday on the Department of War’s UFO website.
The Defense Department posted the files, which include 222 documents, photos, and videos tied to unidentified anomalous phenomena.
More than 50 previously classified videos were also released in the latest tranche, including encounters involving military aircraft and unexplained objects.
The release includes the long-awaited 46 UAP videos demanded by lawmakers earlier this year.
