A Belle Chasse woman is accused of embezzling over $87,000 in tuition payments from a Metairie school.

According to the Louisiana Attorney General’s office, 32-year-old Maryfrancis Johnson, a former Admissions Director at Crescent City Christian School, was arrested on Tuesday, March 24 in connection with the embezzlement. A

G’s office officials said that instead of depositing cash payments, she allegedly kept the funds and made false entries in the school’s financial tracking system.
