Two teenagers stabbed in Manchester: police arrest two suspects
Police have sealed off a street in the Longsight area of Manchester after two teenagers were stabbed on Monday night.
Greater Manchester Police were called to the scene shortly after 9:30 p.m., where two males, both believed to be around 18 years old, were found with stab wounds. They were taken to hospital for treatment.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident. One was detained on suspicion of assault and taken directly into custody, while the other was transferred from hospital to custody.
A large police cordon remains in place this morning between St John’s Road and Stockport Road, including the Longsight Market area. Officers are also present on Dickenson Road.
The closure has caused significant traffic disruption during the morning rush hour, with queues reported on nearby Stockport Road and Stanley Grove. Police say enquiries into the double stabbing are ongoing.
