Meghan Markle looked glowing as she enjoyed a girls’ skiing trip with her close pals Kelly McKee Zajfen and Heather Dorak.

The women have been in the Duchess of Sussex’s life for years, and the trio looked happy and relaxed as they posed for a snap post on Heather’s Instagram page. “Wow, what a perfect trip!! My heart is so full. The kids crushed the slopes by day and the adults howled with laughter deep into the night. Truly lucky in love with our wonderful friends!” she captioned the slideshow of photos. In one, Meghan, Kelly and Heather laugh as they posed on the slopes in Utah, and the mother-of-two looked overjoyed to be reunited with her friends.

The 42-year-old first met Heather in 2005, when the pilates and yoga instructor became Meghan’s coach, and in 2015, she celebrated 10 years of friendship with the former actress and noted she was “one of my first clients”. She was also employed by Meghan when she began working on the TV drama series Suits in 2011, and the Pilates Platinum owner is now based in California after relocating from Texas.

Heather also contributed fitness expertise to Meghan’s former lifestyle blog The Tig before she closed it down following her engagement to Prince Harry, and the duo appeared in snaps on Meghan’s social media accounts before they were removed when she wed Harry in 2018. Heather was one of the many guests at the couple's star-studded wedding in Windsor, along with her husband Matt Cohen, and she’s accompanied Meghan on several holidays over the years, including a trip to Vancouver in 2015.

She also attended Meghan's speech at the UN Women's 20th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference of Women in Beijing event in New York City in 2015, and just last year was spotted hiking near the couple’s Montecito mansion after they celebrated Prince Archie’s fourth birthday. It’s been reported Heather was an integral part of Meghan’s inner circle since she relocated to the US following their exit from the Royal Family, and visited the Sussexes in Canada in January 2020 when they departed London.

Meghan became close with Kelly through her ex-husband Trevor Engleson, who was friends with Kelly’s entertainment lawyer husband Julian. Their friendship was strengthened after the Duchess supported the former model through the devastating loss of her nine-year-old son George in July 2022, who was found unresponsive in their family home. Kelly candidly shared her feelings on her heartbreaking loss just months after her son’s tragic death, and told her followers she was “broken”.

“The light everyday is dim. I try my best. We are all trying our best. I’m so broken. I’m searching everyday to find some new way to mold the pieces back together and I’m completely aware that it may not all fit again,” she wrote. Shortly after George’s passing, Harry and Meghan donated $5,000 to a GoFundMe fundraiser in the names of their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and the Duchess was praised by Kelly for being an “incredible friend and mother”. She continued: “You are always the first to say yes and support those you love. You are a fierce advocate for those who are in need.”
