Meghan Markle expected to join Prince Harry on UK visit but with 'restrictions'
Meghan Markle is expected to accompany Prince Harry on his next visit to the UK, but there will be restrictions, a royal expert has claimed.
The 39-year-old embarked on a frantic dash from Los Angeles to London earlier this month to see his father King Charles, after he was informed in a private phone call that the monarch had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer. Harry spent less than 24 hours in the country before jetting back to Meghan and their children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - in Montecito, California, but he vowed to return to the UK as much as possible.
In an interview with ABC News, just days after seeing his father for the first time since May last year, Harry promised to visit his estranged family in London as he admitted the cancer diagnosis would bring the warring royals back together. “I’ve got other trips planned that will take me through the UK, or back to the UK, and so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can,” he shared.

Jennie claimed that other senior royals would have to consider their “loyalty” to Prince William and Kate Middleton before agreeing to see Harry and Meghan, and also, the issue of trust would be high on the agenda. She believes the Sussexes will bring over their children Archie and Lilibet to meet with extended members of the Royal Family over the next few months, but it’s not yet known if the youngsters will meet their cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The last time Charles met granddaughter Lilibet was in 2022 (PA)She said it would be “natural” for Harry to bring his wife and children along with him on his next visit, especially after reports that Charles has no close bond with his youngest grandchildren. It emerged the monarch has only met his youngest grandchild, Lilibet, once when she came to the UK for the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. The trip also coincided with her first birthday, and Meghan and Harry threw an intimate party at their former royal residence Frogmore Cottage.
