Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world when they stepped down from the Royal Family, but it seems they could be making a small return to their former duties.

The Duke of Sussex made a brief return to the UK earlier this month to visit his father King Charles after the monarch was diagnosed with cancer. It has been reported that Harry is also willing to make a part-time return to his royal duties to help out while Charles undergoes treatment.

Harry has also revealed plans to return to the UK in the coming months. Speaking to Good Morning America, he said: "I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I'll stop in and see my family as much as I can." Here, we've taken a look at all of the signs Harry could be returning to the royal fold.

Meghan's London return

Meghan Markle was believed to have "never felt at home" in the UK, but it seems she's getting more comfortable as she made a virtual return to London last week. She appeared in a video to open a new wing of an animal charity in the UK and pay tribute to her "dear friend" Oli Juste, who died suddenly in January 2022.

Meghan sent a personal video message in memory of the dog trainer, who had introduced Meghan to the Mayhew animal charity, leading to her becoming its patron for three years. The video of Meghan was played at the unveiling of the Oli Juste Wing at Mayhew's Centre in north London.

The charity said a "generous" donation made by Oli's "dear friend" Meghan through her Archewell Foundation has allowed them to open newly refurbished kennels. In the clip, Meghan said: "A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Mayhew who have worked tirelessly to bring this dream to life.

"It was so important to find a way to celebrate Oli's memory in a manner that he would have loved. Mayhew is a beacon of hope for those in need and a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together."

The virtual appearance comes after royal author Omid Scobie explained in his book Endgame that Meghan has no intention of ever returning to England. He claimed she "never felt at home" in the UK and wrote that Meghan "never wants to set foot again in England" again.

Duke and Duchess titles

Meghan and Harry recently unveiled their brand new website, with their royal titles featuring prominently on the platform. They changed from archewell.com to sussex.com, with visitors being welcomed to the "Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex".

When Harry and Meghan stepped down from the Royal Family, it was agreed that they could continue to use their Duke and Duchess titles, but not their HRH titles.

Coat of arms

The new website also offers a clue that the couple are slowly going back to their royal days. The platform features Meghan's coat of arms, something she was given in 2018 before her marriage to Harry.

The shield has a blue background to symbolise the Pacific Ocean near California, where Meghan grew up. The two golden stripes represent the sunny skies of Los Angeles. The three quills on the shield signify the importance of words, with Meghan also a keen letter writer.

Harry revealed he will be returning to the UK during an appearance on Good Morning America earlier this month. Harry said he feels lucky to have already been able to visit his father following his cancer diagnosis.

He said: "Look I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I'm grateful for that." When asked if the diagnosis could have a "reunifying effect" amid their feud, Harry said he is certain it will.

"Yeah, I'm sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together," he told the host. Harry then added: "I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I'll stop in and see my family as much as I can."
