Manhunt for two masked bikers after victim stabbed and in critical condition
A manhunt is underway for masked motorcycle riders who ambushed two victims and stabbed one in the torso before fleeing the scene.
Police are appealing to the public for information as they try and track down the two masked bikers who left a man in a serious condition and had to remain in hospital overnight following the attack on Saturday. One of the victims had his pockets searched by the riders and then the second was stabbed in the torso after they were ambushed in the incident that took place in the evening.
Police said that the attack took place in Watford, Hertfordshire, as the two male victims were standing at a road junction. Suddenly a blue coloured motorcycle rode up with two men on it.
A spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Detectives in Watford are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in the town in which a man was stabbed. Between 7.40pm and 8.15pm on Saturday two 18-year-old men were waiting at the junction of Peace Drive and Cassiobury Drive, when a blue motorbike pulled up with two men riding it.
"The men got off the bike and one of them spoke to one of the victims. He then proceeded to search him and go through his pockets. Nothing was taken, but the same man then stabbed the second victim in the torso before both men left the scene on the motorbike."
