Holly Willoughby admits she 'didn't fancy husband Dan when she first met him'
Holly Willoughby revealed she 'didn't fancy her husband Dan Baldwin' when she met him for the first time.
The former This Morning presenter, 43, and Dan are in the same industry and met each other when Holly was working on the CITV show Ministry of Mayhem, which first aired in 2004 before it was renamed to Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown. The two were friends before they got together.
Holly and Dan got engaged in 2006, and Holly previously said she was in the bathtub when the 49-year-old popped the question. A year later, they tied the knot at St Michael's Church, on a day which Holly said was "magical" and "overwhelming". The low-key couple have three children together - Harry, Belle, and Chester.
In a chat from 2015, Dancing On Ice presenter Holly admitted she 'didn't fancy' TV producer Dan when they first met. However, they had a 'very intense' friendship and were 'inseparable'. "I didn’t even think about it," she said at the time. Six months later, they were “in each other’s pockets constantly” and romantic feelings soon blossomed.
“I remember this one night we were in the bar and I cheers-ed Dan and I remember my eye just caught his a little bit longer than it should have done, and I looked at him and thought, 'Oh my God, I fancy Dan Baldwin,' and it took me by complete surprise."

Looking back on it now, I think what I was thinking was intense friendship was probably me falling in love, and I think that's a really good basis for romance because we have that friendship still now."
Holly once said she was 'pleased' their relationship started as a friendship as she said that it gave them to tools for a really strong connection, which they still have 17 years later. She gushed over their 'real friendship and laughter and just having good times together. I think it's the real secret to keeping things as they are, which is lovely.'
The presenter barely talks about the couple's three children and keeps them away from the spotlight. She one opened up about her children's hobbies and passions as she told Hello! magazine: "I'll encourage them to go in whatever direction they want," the star told us.
"Harry’s football mad. He's as bad as his father and Belle wants to be a rainbow. She's a mix of complete tomboy and real girl. She keeps up with her brothers like you wouldn't believe but loves dressing up as a princess and thinks, 'Why wear one hairclip when I could wear all the hairclips I own in my hair?' She loves anything multi-coloured and with sparkles in it."
