Dancing On Ice next star to be eliminated confirmed as skate-off baffles fans
Dancing On Ice announced the next celebrity to leave the hit ITV competition on Sunday night.
The hit skating series returned earlier this year with a slew of new celebrities taking to the ice with their professional partners after weeks of rehearsals.
However, despite pulling out their best moves on the ice on Sunday night, Ricky Norwood and Amber Davies found themselves in the dreaded skate-off. After both contestants performed again, it was down to the judges to pick one celebrity with Amber, 27, and pro partner Simon Proulx-Sénécal unanimously saved.
This sadly meant that Ricky, 40, and pro partner Annette Dytrt were eliminated from the competition. Talking about his show exit, the former EastEnders star said: "From not being able to walk on the ice to getting to this point, I never thought I'd make it this far! I'm just so pleased and I appreciate all of you guys."

Viewers were left baffled over the skate-off, as they claimed Amber, who has previously topped the leaderboard on the show, shouldn't have been in the bottom two. Meanwhile, some fans claimed that Ricky was "robbed".
Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Why was Amber in the skate off!? #dancingonice", a different account put: "Amber didn’t deserve this bottom two spot like! #DancingonIce", another wrote: "Wtf is Amber doing in the bottom two she's amazing" while a different viewer added: "WTF how the hell is Amber in the bottom. #DancingOnIce."
Elsewhere, one viewer wrote: "Ricky was robbed #dancingonice!", a different account put: "#DancingOnIce we want Ricky back" while another viewer wrote: "I can’t believe that Ricky was Eliminated tonight #DancingOnIce."
The line-up this year is Ricky Hatton, Adele Roberts, Amber Davies, Claire Sweeney, Eddie the Eagle, Greg Rutherford, Hannah Spearritt, Lou Sanders, Miles Nazaire, Ricky Norwood, Roxy Shahidi and Ryan Thomas.

Since then, Hannah, 42, Claire, 52, Roxy, 40, and Lou, 38, have all been eliminated alongside their professional skating partners with Ricky the next to go on Sunday.
This means Adele, 44, Amber, 27, Eddie, 60, Greg, 37, Miles, 28, and Ryan, 39, are still in the hit ITV competition as they battle it out to be crowned the winner.
Holly Willoughby is hosting the series, alongside new co-presenter Stephen Mulhern, who has replaced Phillip Schofield. Holly, 43, has made a sensational return to television for Dancing On Ice after she had recently stepped back from the spotlight following her decision to leave This Morning in October after 14 years.
Question marks over her future as host of Dancing On Ice remained until December 27, when ITV bosses finally confirmed she'd be back to front the programme alongside Stephen, 46.
