Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made some big changes to their website, with the couple deciding to ditch a key phrase relating to the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex launched a new website overnight on Monday, replacing Archewell.com with Sussex.com. The new platform promises to be a "one-stop shop" for fans to find out all about their charity work, activities and attendance at events.

The website labels Harry a "humanitarian, military veteran, mental health advocate, and environmental campaigner," while Meghan is described as a "feminist and champion of human rights and gender equity". While the new site includes plenty of information for fans, there are some key pieces missing.

The couple have removed the phrase "serving the monarchy", something which was mentioned frequently on their old website. Harry and Meghan stepped down from the Royal Family back in 2020 before moving to America and carving out a new career in the entertainment industry.

Harry and Meghan's new website is believed to have "gone down terribly" at Buckingham Palace amid the couple's tense relationship with the Royal Family. A source has suggested the project could "provoke complaints from the Palace."

When the Sussexes stepped down as senior working royals, they agreed to stop using HRH but were allowed to keep their Duke and Duchess titles. At the time, the Palace said: "The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family."

However, a source has now said Meghan and Harry could be "stripped" of their titles. Speaking to the Daily Mail, they said: "They are going to have real trouble with the use of Sussex. It is a royal title and if there is any hint of commercialism about this it will be shut down. It's just staggering they cannot see how gauche it is."

Meanwhile, royal commentator Michael Cole told TalkTV: "This will have gone down terribly badly at Buckingham Palace. We're not quite sure how they intend to use this new website but it will be watched very very closely because any attempt to use it for commercial purposes will be frowned upon."

He added: "I think it's another example of them being slightly tin-eared. If they want to build bridges, this is possibly the worst possible way they could do it, and it won’t go down well."
