Meghan Markle feels 'disconnected from the situation' after Prince Harry's family reunion

Meghan Markle is said to be feeling 'disconnected' after her husband Prince Harry made the return to trip to the UK to see his father alone.

Harry flew into the UK shortly after the news emerged of King Charles' cancer diagnosis, and the Duke of Sussex was in his home country for a brief 25-hour visit, which included a short 30-minute meeting with his father. Making the trip alone, sources say Harry wanted to visit his family "without bringing unnecessary stress" that would have followed if he'd made the trip alongside Meghan or as their family of four.

A source told Closer magazine: "This time, he insisted on going alone as he just wanted to spend time with his father without bringing unnecessary stress, which Meghan of course understood, despite feeling very cut off and disconnected from the situation.

"They're both in a very difficult place and while Meghan is trying to support Harry, he's acting very distant which is very unnerving."

Harry's solo meeting with the King comes as the Duke is reportedly said to be "determined" to repair his strained relationship with his father following the shock health news. According to reports, Prince Harry is determined to make amends with his father, and has "reconciliation" plans to get things back on track. "It looks like Harry may be learning his lesson … he really wants this reconciliation plan," a palace source has recently revealed.

Meanwhile, in more of a united front, Harry and Meghan quietly launched their new Sussex website, bringing with it its own controversy and potentially further strain on their relationship. Some are said to be unhappy with the duo's insistence on using their royal title despite stepping back from any royal duties. However, sources close to the Sussexes have hit back and insisted they are fine to use the title as it is "their name". A source close to the couple fumed to MailOnline: "Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact. It is their surname and family name."

Their previous sussexroyal.com website was launched after they stepped back from the royal family in 2019. The new website lists each of Harry and Meghan's achievements as well as a joint biography, which reads: "They are committed to their mission: Show Up, Do Good. They hold the value that charitable work should not simply be 'a handout, but rather a hand held".
