Kanye West claims he was two months from bankruptcy following vile rants
Kanye West has claimed he almost went bankrupt after he was “cancelled” for his antisemitic remarks - but is still refusing to apologise for them.
The 46-year-old rapper said at one point he was only two months away from bankruptcy after his controversial comments saw him dropped by multiple brands. In the same interview, he went on to brag about the success of his new album - ‘Vultures’ - and his Yeezy Super Bowl commercial, crediting his “various skill sets” for his ability to overcome backlash and claiming he cannot be cancelled.
“Number one all over the world,” he said on Monday, as he landed back in Los Angeles after his Las Vegas football trip. Ye went on to describe how his previous antisemitic rhetoric saw him “cancelled” but boasted that he “survived through the cancellation”.

When asked whether he regretted his previous antisemitic comments, the 24-time Grammy winner refused to apologise, saying: “They got the right to their opinion - I got the right to my opinion.” Last week, Kanye came under fire yet again for calling himself an “antisemite” in the title track of his new album.

The Yeezy founder - who was donning a Jason Voorhees mask - raps on the track: “And I’m still crazy, bipolar, antisemite. And I’m still the king.” Veeps, the streaming service that broadcast the event, cut the feed just one second after the controversial lyrics.
On Sunday, both Ye and his wife Bianca Censori turned heads with their bizarre choice of outfit for the Super Bowl final. Kanye completely disguised himself for the outing, wearing an Alexander McQueen 'death mask', a black leather jacket and matching trousers. Bianca opted for a massive oversized trench coat, covering her hair with a tight black hood.
