Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admits Bukayo Saka doubts as Roy Keane sounds warning
Mikel Arteta was able to celebrate a statement win over West Ham on Sunday which moved Arsenal to within two points of leaders Liverpool.
The victory came on the back of an inspirational performance from former Hammers captain Declan Rice and two goals from Bukayo Saka. The first of Saka's strikes came from the penalty spot after he was brought down by home keeper Alphonse Areola.
But Arteta has admitted he was unsure that the England international would take the spot-kick, having crucially missed a penalty in this fixture last season. Those doubts come as Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard teased Saka after he was named man of the match.
And though the Gunners are riding high after their 6-0 win, Manchester United legend Roy Keane has warned Arteta's men against getting carried away. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Arsenal news.
Arteta reveals Saka doubts
Mikel Arteta has revealed he was unsure if Bukayo Saka would take the penalty that opened his account against West Ham. Saka scored the spot-kick to put Arsenal two goals ahead against the Hammers, though Arteta was surprised he stepped up.

“I had doubts whether he was going to take the penalty or not because of what happened but it shows you as well how mature he is and how determined he is to go to the next level,” said Arteta.
"We're in a good moment and when you have good moments you have to build and maintain the momentum. The team from the beginning looked really sharp. We are maintaining and building some momentum now.”

Odegaard teases Saka

"Brilliant performance. From start to end we dominated and controlled everything. Today, we were really sharp in front of goal. I'm proud of the team. Coming from a big game [against Liverpool] and a big win and backing it up today with a great performance."

Keane issues Arsenal warning
Roy Keane has warned Arsenal against getting carried away after they demolished West Ham. The Gunners were criticised for their celebrations after beating Liverpool last week and Keane believes Arteta's men need to be careful.
"It happens but you can't get carried away but that's the nature of the best. Teams get excited and get giddy, we see it every week now. Obviously we saw Arsenal get criticised last week, but we see teams every week now [celebrate] when they get a big result," he told Sky Sports.

"Yes, celebrate and get photographs, but as we know, there's a long way to go in that league challenge and you can't get too carried away. We know what football does to you, it kicks you in the teeth."
