Parents astonished by hidden car seat feature to make strapping kids in easier

Most parents have had to wrestle their children into their car seats before.

But one dad has shown a hidden feature of car seats to make it infinitely easier to strap them in and be on your way - because there's nothing worse than spending precious time trying to fish the seatbelt from around the back of them while they're wailing and writhing around in your arms.

The thought of a road trip with the kids can sometimes be daunting, but @heavy_haul_n_fool explained that it doesn't need to be - by showing a little-known hack that you likely "did not know."

He then pointed out "these little clips right here", that sit on either side of the model of car seat he has for his children. The dad then explained that sometimes, when you're putting your child in "you sit them on the straps", and then have to go through the arduous process of moving the child forward, fishing out the straps from behind them, and causing more distress for the little one.

"Well, check this out", he proudly announced, as he moved the seatbelt straps around, and onto the clips at the side, so both parts of the seatbelt were moved away, and the back of the seat was completely free - and ready for a child to be placed into the seat with no drama.

"Now, you can go ahead and set your child in, and the straps will go right around their arms", he shared, and then he shared the wisdom with another dad, who had no idea about the little hack, which would make your car journey preparation so much easier. It's important to note that not every car seat has this feature, and this video was filmed in America.

In the comments, other parents praised the hack saying they had them on their seat but "had no idea" that's what they were for - and another wrote: "God dammit I don't have those. Genius idea."
