Christian McCaffrey's mum boycotting Taylor Swift ahead of Super Bowl LVIII

Christian McCaffrey's mother is taking a break from her love for Taylor Swift until after Super Bowl LVIII as her son's San Francisco 49ers prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs.

Swift's presence at NFL games has grabbed headlines this season with a wave of new fans becoming acquainted with the league. The superstar singer has been seen at 12 games since she started dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The pair's whirlwind romance has captured everyone's attention and they've grown into one of the globe's most talked-about couples. But with all eyes are on Las Vegas for the big game, McCaffrey's mum Lisa has decided to temporarily pause on her Swiftie fandom.

"I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple days," Lisa shared with McCaffrey's girlfriend Oliva Culpo on her podcast. "I love her, I love the relationship, but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs."

She added: "If she pops up on the radio station... nope. She's dead to us this week."

Despite initial claims that neither McCaffrey nor Culpo could afford a suite at Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl, it seems Lisa will be watching from a luxury seat. Despite suites costing between $800,000 and $2million, Culpo - a Sports Illustrated model and former Miss Universe - splashed out as a birthday gift for Mrs McCaffrey.

Swift is also expected to attend the Super Bowl, despite having a concert on her Eras Tour in Tokyo the night before the game. Ever since Swift and Kelce were first linked, questions have been raised about whether the pop star would attend the Super Bowl in Las Vegas - and she's determined to be there.

Swift reportedly plans to make the long flight across the Pacific to support Kelce. She is due to land with plenty of time to spare, although her arrival may be complicated by the lack of private jet spaces due to both the Super Bowl and a LIV Golf event taking place in Las Vegas.

Kelce's Chiefs will face McCaffrey's 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in a rematch of Super Bowl LIV - where Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City to an epic 31-20 victory - on Sunday, Feb. 11.
