Meghan Markle has outright refused to do one showbiz job in post-royal life
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the Royal Family and moved to America in 2020, they signed an exclusive £80 million contract with Netflix. The couple agreed a five-year deal with the streaming giant, which is due to expire next year - and, as such, there is much speculation as to what their upcoming shows might be.
Speaking at an event in Hollywood to announce Netflix's upcoming projects, Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria teased there are a few more things to come from Meghan and Harry. "Oh, what are they working on? They actually have a bunch in development," she said, according to Deadline .
"They have a couple of unscripted things they're working on with Brandon [Reigg]. And they actually have like a bunch of development, they have a movie in development, a [scripted] series that they're working on."
She emphasised the projects are "all very early development" and did not offer further details - but the "unscripted" projects are thought to be documentaries.
But while there is some conjecture around their future shows, Meghan has previously revealed there is one area they will absolutely not be delving into. "I don't think you'll ever see us doing a horror film," she told Variety in 2022.

Harry and Meghan have had mixed reviews for their previous Netflix releases. While the first episode of their docuseries Harry & Meghan was watched by more than two million households in the US, that figure dropped to just 1.1 million households streaming the sixth and final episode of the show.
The show failed to rank in the top 200 shows on Netflix from January - June. And when Harry's series Heart of Invictus was released months later, it flopped. The couple had also been working on an animated series, Pearl, but it was dropped in 2022.
But the next 12 months could be bright for Harry and Meghan. They previously bought the screen rights to Carley Fortune's Meet Me At The Lake - likely this could be their movie project with Netflix.
The bestselling book tells the story of a couple who meet in their thirties and deals with themes of childhood trauma, including losing a parent in a car crash, mental health challenges and post-natal depression.
Author Carley previously confirmed that Archewell Productions was adapting her romance novel for Netflix.
"I'm so thrilled about working with Netflix and Archewell to bring Meet Me at the Lake to the screen," she said in a statement. "Will and Fern's love story is dear to my heart, and I can't imagine a more perfect partnership."
