Rio Ferdinand blasts "deluded" Arsenal and tells Arteta who he should be fear
Rio Ferdinand is the latest pundit to tear into Arsenal for their celebrations after Sunday's vital 3-1 win over title-rivals Liverpool at the Emirates.
The Gunners dominated the Reds in north London and goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli either side of a Gabriel Magalhaes own goal were enough to send the hosts on their way, before Leandro Trossard put the result beyond any doubt deep into second-half stoppage time.
It was that late strike from the Belgian that was met with wild celebrations, inspiring Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to sprint half way down the touchline before turning around and sprinting back into the home dugout. While the sight of the Spaniard running around frantically went down well with the majority of the stadium, it didn't impress Ferdinand.
While speaking on his Vibe with Five YouTube channel, the Manchester United legend made clear he felt the Gunners manager went too far with his celebrations. The former England international even sarcastically claimed it was as if Arsenal had already wrapped the title up.
"I thought Arsenal won the league the way your man was celebrating! Your manager’s doing laps [of the stadium]! Your manager has done his 10,000 steps today with them laps round the ground after they won! What’s this about?"

Pressed for comment on whether Ferdinand regards Arsenal as one of the league's title challengers this term, his response was emphatic and makes for grim reading from a Gunners perspective. "No. No, no, no," he added.
"I didn’t feel that. The celebrations that I saw didn’t correlate with what I felt about the outcome of what this game meant. It felt like you guys [think you] are on to win the league now, what I saw."

Rio Ferdinand has blasted Arsenal as "deluded" (Vibe with Five)Ferdinand's scathing criticism did not stop there, with the 45-year-old going on to claim it is not even Liverpool that Arsenal should be worried about. He explained: "Deluded. Deluded FC. You’re deluded.
"You shouldn’t even be worrying about Liverpool, It’s Man City you should be worrying about! Two games in hand."
All Arsenal can do is focus on their own fixture list and up next is a tricky trip to London rivals West Ham next Sunday. The Gunners don't actually host another league clash until late this month when they welcome Newcastle to the Emirates on February 24, until then they are relying on their impressive form on the road to continue.
