The ancient flatbread has stood as a culinary cornerstone in diverse cultures across the globe for centuries.

Much of its beauty lies in its simplicity, relying on elemental ingredients such as flour, water, and salt. A rich assortment of flatbreads spans from the well-known Indian naan and chapati to the Middle Eastern pita, the Mexican tortilla, and the Scandinavian flatbrød. Each variant carries a distinct cultural significance, often serving as an integral part of daily diets.

Celebrated for its adaptability and convenience, flatbreads can be lathered in all manner of toppings, fillings, or dips, seamlessly complementing a wide spectrum of dishes. Whether used to scoop up hummus, envelop grilled meats, or act as a pizza base, the simple flatbread always comes in handy.

And thankfully it is incredibly easy to make, as TikToker fitgreenmind ably demonstrates. In a video watched more than 1.7 million times, host Maya Leinenbach says "Oh no, you've run out of bread? If you've got 15 minutes to spare then make these easy peasy flatbreads".

Pop the flour in a bowl, then add the baking powder, salt, yoghurt and the oil. Next kneed it really well until you have a nice dough ball. Then divide this into eight and roll them out.
